At The Forum Centre, Student Voice plays a prominent and regular part in students’ development, offering students a chance to take ownership of their environment as well as further understanding of their role in the school community. Student Voice meetings aim to foster a greater understanding of our four core values: kindness, respect, ambition and determination, whilst demonstrating a democratic and inclusive approach to decision making.

Student Voice meetings are held every three weeks in a warm and welcoming environment, with opportunities to participate being open to any student who wishes to take part. The following areas have been discussed so far during the 2024/25 academic year, with several beneficial developments and changes being implemented:

· School uniform

· Lunch- food provision and timings of lunchtimes

· Fundraising within the local community

· Enrichment, school trips and local community opportunities

· Re-designing the social area and sensory room

· Discussion of the structure of the school day

· Sport provision.

Student Voice students selected a good cause within their local community and enjoyed making posters to advertise their chosen event.
