Curriculum
Primary pupils at the Forum Centre, are taught in our primary base by a classteacher. Students in years 7, 8 are taught in our key stage 3 base, with most subjects taught by their classteacher.
For year 9 students and students at key stage 4 (Years 10 & 11), we provide a secondary style provision where the curriculum is taught by subject teachers: in KS4, students follow exam courses that lead to Entry Level, Functional skills, BTEC & GCSE qualifications.
At the Forum Centre, we promote academic achievement through daily provision of core subjects which are English, Mathematics, and Science. Added to this, through the week KS 2 & 3 students are taught a variety of foundation subjects. KS4 Students take two further option subjects.
Students are also provided with enrichment activities on site as well as the option to take part in off-site activities such as mechanics training, outdoor education, trampolining, boxing, Equine assisted learning, farm activities, and forest school. Older students are also given opportunity to attend college courses and work experience.
