Dear Parents and Carers,

School Closure – Friday 30 January 2026

All school transport in Dorset has been cancelled on Friday because of forecast heavy rain. 

The Forum Centre will therefore be closed for students on this day. 

To support learning during the closure, work will be provided online using Microsoft Teams.

Please note:
➡️ This is not live online teaching
➡️ Work will be set for students to complete independently. 

 

How your child can access their work

We have created a Microsoft Teams space called “TFC Online”.

  • Each class has its own channel within TFC Online

  • Teachers will post:

    • Work instructions

    • Worksheets or documents

    • Tasks to be completed during the closure

Step-by-step guide for students

  1. Log in to Microsoft Teams

    • Visit: https://www.microsoft.com/teams

    • Or open the Microsoft Teams app on a laptop, tablet, or phone

  2. Sign in using your child’s school email and password

    Your child’s school email address always follows this format:
    first initial.full surname@tfc.dorset.sch.uk

    Example:
    a.fergani@tfc.dorset.sch.uk

  3. Select the Team called “TFC Online”

  4. Click on the channel for your child’s class

  5. Read the teacher’s post and complete the work set

If you do not know your child’s login details

  • If you are unsure of your child’s email address
    Use the format shown above (first initial, full surname).

  • If you do not know or have forgotten the password
    Please request a password reset by emailing:

Important reminders

  • Students should complete the work to the best of their ability

  • Work may be completed digitally or on paper, depending on the task

  • Teachers will follow up on the work when students return to school
